I have taught in Minneapolis since 1990. 
 
I went to college in San Diego and graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a double major in Literature/Creative Writing and Biology. I received my teaching credentials in the Language Arts and Biology from San Diego State University. However, I never taught in California. Immediately after completing my teacher training, I moved with my future partner to Minneapolis and have been here ever since.

I also have a Master's degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Minnesota.

I love Minneapolis and live in the city. Both of my children (15 and 12) attend Minneapolis Public Schools and have had a great education.
