The Induction ceremony will be held on May 20th, 2009. The ceremony will be held in the lunchroom from 5- 6:30pm. If you cannot attend you MUST fill out an excuse slip and present it to Mrs. Woldum. You can pick up the slip before school, during lunch or after school in room 209. IF YOU DO NOT FILL OUT A SLIP YOU WILL BE GIVEN AN UNEXCUSED ABSENCE!

EVENT PLANNING UPDATE!

*A Blood Drive is being hosted by NHS on May 13th here at EHS. Our Blood Drive Committee will be working to advertise, organize and sign-up donors. Donors are now being signed up at all lunches or in room 209. Please consider making a donation!

Whole blood drawn 41 Total units for drive 49

Because blood can be broken down into 3 components Plasma, Platelets and Red Blood Cells the 49 units collected at the Edison High School drive can be used to save 147 lives!

*The end of year celebration/Inauguration has been scheduled for May 20th from 5-6:30pm. Two committees were formed to help organize the event. One will decorate the lunchroom on May 20th. Please see Mrs. Woldum right after school on May 20th to start decorating. The second committee will work to put together a Senior Recognition. The next meeting for this group will be on 5/8 right after school in room 209.

FUNDRASING PLANNING UPDATE!

Thanks to all those who participated in the Barnes and Noble fundraiser. During our downtown wrapping we raised $60! During the MOA event we raised $30!

Thanks to all members who contributed to making the Razzlin' Dazzlin' Raffle a success! Thanks to your hard work we raised $80!

The Valentine's Day fundraiser was a huge success! Thanks to all those members whose contributions made the event a success! We raised $270! Thank you to Anagram International for the generous balloon donation.

COMMUNITY SERVICE UPDATE!

We need more people to sign up for Meals on Wheels deliveries for May. Stop by Mrs. Woldum's room to sign up!

The Benefit Concert has been scheduled for May 29th. Auditions will be held on May 14th and 15th. Rehearsal will be held on 5/26 and 5/28. An advertising committee will be meeting tomorrow, 4/23, to discuss advertising and promoting the event.

Planting the LOWRY/CENTRAL garden. NHS members will help plant a garden at the corner of Lowry and Central on May 16th, 2009 from 9-1pm. Come contribute to making NE a more beautiful place to be! See Mrs. Siasoco to sign-up.

The Waite Park Spring Festival will be held on May 15th from 5:30 - 8 pm. Volunteers will help manage games. See Mrs. Woldum to sign-up! You must provide your own transportation to Waite Park Elementary school.
