In Building Extension: 34044
I received my Masters in Art Education from the University of Minnesota and my Bachelors of Fine Art with a focus in Illustration from the Art Institute of Boston. I previously worked as a freelance illustrator/designer and nonprofit arts administrator. Before coming to Edison, I taught at local art centers; in adult community education and taught classes for adults and children with disabilities through a nonprofit art organization. I also was a reserve teacher in both Minneapolis and St. Paul public schools.
I bring my passion for teaching the arts to students as well as my past experiences in both the industry and nonprofit sector into my classroom. I provide engaging projects for my students that relate to their own life experiences and their identities and goals. I also connect in-school knowledge and skills with the larger world and make connections to career choices in the arts industry.
