CPEO

Connecting Parents to Educational Opportunities (CPEO) is an orientation program offered to parents by the MPS Office of Family and Community Engagement. This seven week curriculum based program is designed to help strengthen parental involvement in a child's education through informative classes and workshops. CPEO will engage, empower, and strengthen parents as equal partners in the education and success of their children, both in and out of the classroom.

The curriculum is designed to:

  • Help parents create home learning environments
  • Develop skills to collaborate with school staff
  • Help parents understand and navigate the school system
  • Support parents in understanding the emotional and social development of their children
  • Inform parents about post-secondary and college options

CPEO classes will be offered to Edison parents from 6:00-8:30 p.m. on the following dates:

Thursday, October 27th
Thursday, November 10th
Thursday, November 17th
Thursday, December 1st
Thursday, December 8th
Wednesday, December 14th *Potluck and graduation at 5:45 p.m. at Davis Center
Thursday, December 15th *University Tour- meet at front entrance at 5:45 p.m.
