Connecting Parents to Educational Opportunities (CPEO) will be coming to Edison for the 7th year! The CPEO program is a seven-week program designed for parents to learn and increase their knowledge of the school system. Parents learn the necessary tools and skills to advocate for their student, to work with school staff, principals and teachers, to create a home learning environment, and strategies that will help with post-secondary education.
The curriculum includes:
- Understanding the high school system
- How to support your student at home
- Ways to get involved with your students school
- Requirements needed to get into college
- Higher education options
- University of Minnesota campus tour
- Financial aid
CPEO will be meeting on Thursday evenings starting October 22nd – December 16th from 6:00-8:30 p.m.
