Location: Edison High School - Auditorium
700 22nd Ave. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Welcome to Thomas Edison High School, where caring and dedicated staff are committed to partnering with parents to ensure that your child is challenged, engaged in new opportunities, and counseled on college and post-secondary options. We recognize that transitioning into high school is an exciting milestone and we are glad that you will be a part of our learning community for the next four years.

Incoming 9th Grade Registration:
In order for you to complete the registration process, you and your child are strongly encouraged to attend. There will be a presentation on our programs and course offerings. Counselors will be presenting information regarding graduation requirements and course selections. Families will be asked to complete a course selection sheet to register for classes.

Go-To Card Program:
All eligible high school students will receive Metro Transit Go-To Cards to ride city buses to and from school; this program has replaced the yellow school buses that high schools had traditionally used. Metro Transit staff will be available during the registration night to answer any questions or concerns regarding the Go-To Card Program. Students who receive special education services will continue to receive individualized transportation, if needed.

Students can learn about Edison’s athletic opportunities and summer program run by Edison coaches. Fall sports sign up will take place on Monday, August 7th from 4:00-6:30 p.m. in Edison’s gym lobby. Fall sports start on Monday, August 14th. Fall sports include: boys’ and girls’ soccer, cross country, football, girls’ swimming, girls’ tennis, and volleyball. For more information contact Amy Cardarelle, Athletic Director at 612-668-1344.

If you are unable to attend on Thursday, May 11th please contact our Registration Coordinator, Arla Wills to complete the registration process at 612-668-1304.
