Edison’s football team will be in the spotlight tonight (October 3, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.) during the Vikings football game that will be aired on ESPN and WCCO.  Edison's football coach, JJ Swain will be talking about Edison’s ties to the Vikings team...

MN Vikings is one of the community partners that contributed to Edison’s $100,000 athletic field grant;  making Edison
one of the greenest campus in the state.
Edison’s varsity football Coach, JJ Swain, is the son of  MN Viking player, John Swain Sr.  (played with the Vikings
   from 1981-1984).
Edison sophomore, Giovanni Green, won the Vikings community captain award last year 2015-16 for being an excellent
varsity athlete and for his commitment to community service.
Edison junior, Jordan Green, has been nominated as a Vikings community captain this year 2016-17.

Yesterday, the team attended the Vikings pre-game practice at Winter Park and took a tour of the Vikings practice facility, watched the Vikings practice, participated in a team break down, and met Vikings players and coaches. See slide show.

Bottom line, Edison football players saw there are more opportunities football has to offer besides just playing the game.
