Hobbies: Being active outside, reading, traveling

I grew up in central New Hampshire and went to college in Boston, MA. I earned my Bachelors Degree in History and Masters in Secondary Education in 2010 at Northeastern University. I spent one year traveling in AmeriCorps NCCC on the west coast completing manual labor projects to help communities in need. I moved to Minneapolis in 2012 to complete a State and National AmeriCorps program as a Check & Connect Monitor. I worked with Check & Connect at Olson Middle School (1 year)  and Sanford Middle School (2 years). In 2015 I began teaching at Northeast Middle School. This is my second year at Edison High School.

My teaching philosophy

My teaching philosophy holds all students to high expectations inside the classroom and out.  I want my students to work hard and to always try their best. I expect students to come to class daily with respectful manners to themselves and classmates and also be ready to participate.  My hope is with hard work and new skills our students will be able to make a difference in their lives and the people around them.

I look forward to getting to know my students and families! Contact me with any questions, comments or concerns!
