Families and fans from all over Minneapolis came to cheer on Edison’s Varsity Girls' Basketball team as they played against West Lutheran Academy. Many Area A schools’ staff and families attended this event along with MPS CEO Michael Goar, Associate Superintendent Michael Thomas, School Board Directors Rebecca Gagnon and Jenny Arneson. Principals joined in on the fun as well:  Al Pitt from Sheridan, Benjamin Perry from NEMS, Laura Cavender from Pillsbury, Roxanne Beasley – teacher (representing Waite Park) along with Assistant Principal Laurie Lamberty from Northeast Middle School. City Council member Kevin Reich also attended the event.  We thank all of you for participating in Future Tommie Night and making this a memorable evening.

The evening started out with Edison’s alumni band and Edison pep band joining together in playing the school song. Trumpeter Dan Kuch stole the show with his solo of the National Anthem.
