General Mills rolled out the red carpet for our Voyager students. After being served a continental breakfast and watching how Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal is produced, they heard from a professor in Food Science from the University of Minnesota and took part in a food test. Students were given the opportunity to sample anything they wanted in the company cafeteria. Students were not aware of the career for food science and this visit was very educational. At the end of the day, students received a fun cereal t-shirt and a big bag full of goodies (cereals, bars, cups, water bottles, pastry brush, key ring, fruit roll ups). The staff at General Mills was very impressed with our students thought provoking questions, their passion to learn and openness to explore careers, and will be planning another trip for our students next year.
