Hi, my name is Ina Ziegler. I teach Level 1 and Level 4/5 ESL at Edison. I also co-teach ELA 9 and physics, and I really enjoy learning from my co-teachers. I love working with students and families from all over the world! One of my favorite parts of my job is working with students at many different levels of language development, from beginners to advanced learners.
I grew up in Wisconsin and I have lived in the Twin Cities since 2005. I attended the University of Minnesota, and I received a B.A. in Cultural Pluralism and Social Justice. I completed my M.Ed. in the spring of 2012. This is my second year as a licensed classroom teacher, and I have worked with students and families for several years. I have been a volunteer coordinator, a tutor, and a leadership program coordinator, and I still use all of those skills in my daily life now.
I enjoy traveling, cooking, gardening, reading, and being outdoors. I live in Northeast Minneapolis, and I am happy to be a part of the wonderful community that surrounds Edison.
I am looking forward to a wonderful school year! I can be reached at ina.ziegler@mpls.k12.mn.us, or by phone at 612-668-1300.
