Enjoying Elephant Fish in Vietnam - 2012

I am excited to be a Tommie and begin my second year at Edison High School! My Individuals & Societies Courses include U.S. History (MYP level 5) and Economics (Senior level).

I began my teaching career over seven years ago. After student teaching at Arlington High School in Saint Paul, I became a substitute for Chicago Public Schools, then taught in a variety of capacities (Long-term subbing, ELL Language Arts, Yearbook, Coaching) at a great district in a western suburb of Chicago. Two years ago, I transitioned back to Minnesota by obtaining a Social Studies position at an ALC that serves the Northeast Metro Area. Prior to all of this, I earned a BA in Geography and a BS in Social Studies Education at Saint Cloud State University.

I am here to help you succeed. Please come talk to me and ask me questions! I am generally available before (7:30-7:50 am) and after (3:15-4:00 pm) school. Please let me know if you are planning to come. I care about my students, I want everyone to be successful, and I want everyone to enjoy our class! Contact me directly at
