Lance Kragness, Dean - Special Education
Mr. Lance

Hello my name is Lance Kragness and I am the SPED Dean at Edison High School.

I was born and raised in North Minneapolis and went to Minneapolis Public Schools, Kindergarten though 12th grade.  I graduated in 2001 from North Community High School, and continued my education graduating at the top of my class Summa Cum Laude from Metro State University with an Individualized Studies degree in Community Leadership and Youth Advocacy.   I started my career with Minneapolis Public Schools, working in after-school programs and also for the YMCA Beacons program in 2003.  In 2006, I was given an opportunity to travel the world as a business manager in the music industry, but my passion for helping youth and seeing our children succeed, brought me back into the education field in 2013.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am happily married with 4 children of my own.  I also enjoy being a leader in my church and spending time with my friends.  I love football, and I coach youth football in the fall.  I also love shoes and I love traveling.  I have a passion to serve people and help everyone succeed.
