      Greetings!  My name is Jon Peterson and I am the new Assistant Principal here at Edison High School.  I am originally from Samoa, however, I grew up and went to school in west central Wisconsin.  I have a Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls in 7-12, Middle and Secondary Education with an emphasis in History, Broad Field Social Studies, and Spanish. 
             I did my Master of Arts degree in Public Policy at the University of St. Thomas (UST) and I am entering my third year in the doctoral program in Leadership at UST.  I have been a tenured, classroom teacher and coach in Roseville, MN and I also taught Spanish at Field Community School here in Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS).  Most recently, I worked in the MPS Funded Programs Office coordinating Title I programs.  Overall, I am thrilled to be a Tommie and I am looking forward to supporting the mission and vision of Edison High.  Go Tommies!"
