Greetings!! I am Carly Jarva, the New Assistant Principal at Edison High School. I will be working with Freshmen and Seniors here at Edison. Most recently I was the Assistant Principal at North Community High School. Before coming to MPS, I designed International Baccalaureate Programs in the Osseo Area Schools for 3 years. I was a high school English teacher for 8 years before leaving the classroom to work with teachers.

I am originally from Northern Minnesota, but now make my home on the Northside. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the College of St. Benedict; a Master’s Degree in English from the University of St. Thomas; a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota; and am writing my dissertation now to finish my Doctorate in Educational Policy at the University of Minnesota.

I am excited to be a part of Edison High School and overall, truly believe I have one of the greatest jobs out there. I feel lucky to come to work every day to do what I love…fight for young people to receive the very best education possible!
