Good Morning Edison Families!
This is Eryn Warne, Principal of Edison High School emailing you with some updates. If you have questions about Picture Day, school lunch, lockers or tonight’s event, please review this email.
Edison’s Picture Day is this Tuesday, September 13th. Look for order forms that were sent home with your child; if the form has been misplaced, students should request a new form from their Advisor on Monday. All students should plan to have their picture taken, even if they are not ordering a photo package.
You may have heard that we have had some food shortages during lunches. We want to clarify while we have run out of some prepared items during our busier lunch period, the cafeteria has never completely run out of food. The shortage of some items has caused longer, slower lines, which is obviously not ideal. We have been working with our Nutrition Center to correct this problem to ensure that students have choices and that they can get through the line quickly. Remember, school lunch is FREE for ALL Edison students.
We are working to ready our lockers. Our summer construction kept us from being able to check and reset our lockers over the summer, so we are working on this time consuming project now. An additional cause for delay is that our order for additional locks is currently on back order. We hope to be able to begin assigning lockers early next week and will complete this project as soon as our new locks arrive.
Finally, we hope to see you all at tonight’s Green Campus Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 6pm, followed by our first home football game at 7:00 p.m. Please join us to celebrate the opening of Minnesota’s greenest school campus and to cheer on the Tommies as we take on the Henry Patriots. Edison students get in free with a wristband or student ID.
Thank you for attention to these updates. Have a wonderful weekend!
