1) Services provided
2) In collaboration with Mpls Dist. Student Support Services, our restorative justice practice is based on the following processes:
Proactive Mediation We follow a mediation design which allows students the opportunity to understand each others' perception of the disagreement first, then resolve the conflict through verbalizing the ongoing discomfort.
Restorative Circles We utilize restorative circles as a method to encourage dialogue between the actors, those impacted and the broader Edison HS learning community, in order to foster sincerity and growth among students, staff, and teachers.
Academic Response We help to strengthen student's academic performance by connecting them with internal resources and coaching them on the development of successful and useful student skills. Additional Support We work closely with our counselors, social workers, and mental health service providers to make effective referrals that will best serve the needs of students and families who may face hardships, or unforeseen crisis.
