The Minnesota Department of Education announced on Tuesday that Edison High School is no longer on the list of Priority Schools (low performing schools). MDE Commissioner, Dr. Brenda Cassellius, Associate Superintendent Michael Thomas, and MPS Superintendent, Dr. Bernadeia Johnson celebrated with Edison on Tuesday afternoon, October 1 2013, by sharing the good news with Edison staff. Principal Carla Steinbach stated, “this is a direct result of an entire community pulling together. Our students, parents, teaching staff, support staff, community and district staff have worked hard to accomplish this.” More information about this can be found in the letter that was mailed home to Edison families.
