‪In a recent trip to the Highpoint Printmaking Center of Minneapolis, the Art in the Community class was given the unique opportunity to try their hands at Monoprinting. We were introduced to a variety of new materials and equipment that the students took to like pros. Each student was able to develop their own design for their prints using stencils and painting techniques on top of their printing plate. We ran their plates through a printing press and were left with some beautiful results. We are fortunate enough at Edison to have a mini printing press, which by request after this field trip, will be receiving more use this year!
