Edison's Black Student Leadership Council hosted their second African American Career Day. Look how much it has grown! There were 80 professionals from many different career paths. Students had the opportunity to network with several companies, city departments, and colleges! To prepare for this day, students came up with questions to ask these professionals such as: What were the steps you had to take in order to get where you are now? What advice would you give someone just starting in this field of work? John Jackson, English/ African-American Literature Teacher, Black Student Leadership Council and Yearbook Advisor explained the importance of interacting and learning from our honored guests and the relevant experience students would walk away with.
