Edison's Girls' Track Team Places Second at State

 

Last year, Edison's Girls' Track Team made history by being the first Minneapolis Public Schools' female track team to win a state title. It was a close race this year as the competition was very strong. The team came in second place this year with scoring 9 more points than last year!  We couldn't be more proud of how well the girls did this season and are thankful for the dedication and hard work of the team and their coaches.

 

Standings at State:

100m Dash - 1st place - Jia

200m Dash - 1st place - Jada (by a wide margin!) and 7th in long jump. 

4 x 100m Relay - 1st place - Mariana Cress, Jia Lewis, Jada Lewis, and Linda Senaphanh 

 

The rest of the team (including the boys) had a great season as well. We thank everyone for your support and look forward to another successful season next year. Go Tommies!
