Pi Day is an annual American celebration commemorating the mathematical constant π which mathematicians use to represent the ratio between the circumference and diameter of a circle or 3.14. This year, the Math Team sold pies to staff and donated the proceeds to the Lewis family that recently lost all of their belongings in a fire on the north side. They rose over a $100!

Pi Day Winner Memorized Over 150 Digits
The Math Team held a "pi" contest for students on March 14 to see who could memorize the most digits from pi 3.14... Abby Pratt came in first place with a 189 digits, Alberto Zangano placed 2nd and Ramon Angeles placed 3rd. Way to go Tommies!
