Thomas Edison High School's female student leaders were invited by the district to attend the first C-200 outreach event with Minnesota female entrepreneurs. This event was held at Target Corporation on Thursday, October 3, 2013. Students were asked, "What are your aspirations and what steps will you take to make it happen?" Students had the opportunity to meet and listen to several different panelists such as Angie Bastian, CEO of Angie's Kettle Corn and Linda Keene, CEO of Girls Scouts of MN and WI River Valleys. Channel 5 interviewed Fardosa Arale, 11th grader at Thomas Edison High School, who is aspiring to be a doctor.
