Students in Action, (part of the Jefferson’s awards program) Jerome McRoy, Dan Yang, Anastasia Yang, Marcy Chesney, Paj Xiong, Jonathan Cabrera and Taylor Rodriguez raised awareness for ALL cancer patients by selling lavender ribbons for $1.00. These students worked closely with Northeast Bank volunteers and raised $66 that they donated to the Hope Lodge. After presenting the check, the students received a tour of the facilities. 
 

The Hope Lodge is a FREE facility for patients that are undergoing cancer or major health issues and live more than 30 miles away. They have their own room and share a huge TV room, kitchen with refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers. Richard Schulze, founder of Best Buy started this organization after his wife died of cancer.
