The results of Edison’s Value Added Report (student growth indicator) show that Edison’s lower and higher achieving students are exhibiting high growth (above the district average) in both math and reading.

The student survey report shows that Edison exceeded the district’s average for classroom behavior that supports learning.

Edison’s 5 Essentials report reflects the perception of school culture and we are pleased to report that students state they are being challenged academically, feel safe at Edison and find teachers highly trust-worthy.

With the data showing that Edison students are exhibiting growth, why is Edison’s 2016 graduation rate much lower than the 2015 graduation rate (63.6%)?  A key reason is that students in Edison’s School within a School credit make-up program were not included in 2016 graduation’s rate. See below Press Release for the flow-chart that explains Edison's graduation rate for 2016.

Edison will continue to offer credit recovery and beginning with the 2017 graduating class, students in credit recovery will be included in Edison’s overall graduation rate.

Edison’s Master Schedule Committee, Instructional Leadership Team, Site Council and Administrative team are using this data as a guide for setting the budget, scheduling, and setting priorities for next year’s School Improvement Plan.
