Read about these two amazing persons below. Christie Roiz-Guevara, Bilingual Student and Family Advocate - Spanish and English My name is Christie Roiz-Guevara. I have worked at Edison High School since 2004 as a Family Liaison. I am Mexican-American and a native Spanish and English speaker. I grew up migrating from Texas to Minnesota. My family decided to make Minnesota our permanent home in 1989. As a teenager, I attended three different high schools. I know how difficult it is to transition from place to place and to be separated from family and loved ones. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at St. Catherine University.
