The 8th annual Future Tommie Night brought in many fans in the stands. Students and families filled the Gym and cheered on our Tommies! Principals from surrounding Northeast schools along with district/school staff and community members such as Ward 1 City Council Member, Kevin Reich and Ward 3 City Council Member, Jacob Frey attended this fun event. Fans enjoyed an evening of boys' basketball, student performances, delicious soup at the HNIA fundraiser for the arts, prizes, face painting, visiting information tables and so much more! This year, members from Marcy and NEMS band joined Edison's pep band. Edison's choir along with the bands kicked off the evening with the National Anthem. The Alumni band made a grand entrance at the Varsity game and Edison's Rock Band took the floor earlier in the evening.
The YMCA Beacons group along with members from Edison student leadership council were the masters of the fun filled activities taking place throughout the games. One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the winners of musical chairs. Congratulations to: Charles Rusnacko, NEMS - Beats Headphones and Visa Gift Cards and Jada Lewis, Edison - Beats Headphones and Visa Gift Cards. Julia Lewis won a Tommie Boosters hand-made blanket! Throughout the evening, fans won t-shirts, tickets to games/theater along with Edison spirit wear.
