Three members from the Target Corporation, Yamini Jha-Korman, Katelyn Korman, and Andrew Mueller came to the Edison Entrepreneurship class last week and talked to students about pricing, promotion and forecasting to help support their Spark-Y projects. Vicky Iacarella is an Edison Alumna
Vicky Iacarella, from Target and an Edison Alumna, also visited this class to talk to students about team projects in marketing and how to effectively work in teams.
This class is open to 11th and 12th graders and gives students an opportunity to earn college credits.
Profiles:
• Yamini Jha-Korman is the Director of Pricing & Promotion Strategy for Grocery at Target, and has been at Target for 7 years. She went to St. Anthony Village HS, attended Wellesley College in Boston, and graduated from Harvard Business School in 2011. She currently lives in Fridley, MN with her husband (Edison Class of 2006 ) and her 1 year old son.
• Katelyn Korman is a Senior Pricing analyst managing the Apparel and Accessories category at Target. She went to the University of Minnesota – Duluth for college and graduated with a Marketing Analytics degree. Fun fact, Katelyn is from northeast Minneapolis and her entire family attended Edison.
• Andrew Mueller is a Pricing Analyst managing the Frozen Food and Dairy categories at Target. He went to Totino-Grace High School and Studied Entrepreneurship at Saint John’s University. Fun Fact: Andrew traveled to Africa to start an entrepreneurship venture focused on sustainable pig farming.
