A Bit About Myself I have been teaching in Minneapolis since 1999, and at Edison since 2008. My first teaching job was in Nepal, but now I live in the neighborhood; I love walking or biking to school and working in my community. I have been teaching College in the Schools Writing Studio since 2004, and I still enjoy it every day. I am passionate about helping students develop their voice and learn how to use it to communicate with different audiences. In my class, we use a writing workshop approach to assess our own writing and give each other feedback. We also read and discuss a variety of texts to develop a critical stance so that we can "enter the conversation" on current issues like race, language use, and education.
