This is what our Admin Team wrote when attempting to nominate Ms. Wheeler:

"Ms. Wheeler is an exceptional educator who unlocked the door to reaching students during distance learning. She has gone above and beyond to provide a high quality education for all. She is a fierce advocate for equity among students AND peers. She was featured on CBS news for her innovation in delivering PE through distance learning and has co-authored two articles on national recommendations for PE during a pandemic. She is an exemplary educator!"

More About Ms. Wheeler

Hello, my name is Lauren Wheeler, I am a member of the health and physical education team; that has a dual license in health and physical education.  I truly enjoy my time here at Edison high school whereas this is my fourth-year

Ms.Wheeler
teaching at Edison. However, I have been teaching for a decade in various grade levels from elementary to post-secondary students.  Currently, I am pursuing a doctorate in Health and Physical Activity from the University of Pittsburgh. I had an opportunity to contribute my professional skillsets in 2020 with a group of PHD's, MD's and doctoral students on physical education recommendations for COVID-19 back to school nationwide.
