This spring, nineteen 10th graders completed and presented their MYP Personal Projects. The Personal Project is the capstone of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. Students designed a project based on their interests and passions, and worked on it mainly on their own time. They kept journals about their progress and wrote a formal report explaining their process and reflecting on their learning. This year's projects included teaching cheerleading to middle school students, learning a new language (Spanish, Korean, and Japanese), creating nail designs, and petitioning the district to provide bus passes for summer athletics. We are very proud of the perseverance and self-management skills demonstrated by these students. We are looking forward to next year, when ALL 10th graders will do a Personal Project!
