Dear Parent/Guardian:

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! We would like to invite you to attend Edison’s first parent/guardian meeting at Thomas Edison High School. This evening is designed to assist you in learning specifically what your child needs to be a successful high school student. We would also like to deepen our partnership with our families as we work together to educate all our students.

Please join us on Thursday, October 1^st at 6:00 p.m. We ask that you make every effort to be on time. Transportation is available upon request. 

The following information will be presented and available at this meeting:

·         graduation requirements for Minneapolis Public Schools

·         grade specific  information

·         resources available for students and parents

·         parent involvement opportunities

This is a great opportunity for you to meet your child’s counselor. Your presence is very important to us! Students are encouraged to attend this meeting with you. Our efforts to forge a successful school year for your child will be far more effective with your involvement.
