The Northeast Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce and the East Minneapolis Exchange Club are hosted the 6th annual Northeast Celebration on Thursday, October 30, 2014. During this evening, recognition was given to those who support and serve the Northeast community. Thomas Edison High School's principal, Carla Steinbach received the Book of Golden Deeds Awards. October is national principals’ month and therefore this award comes at a very opportune time.

Edison's Voyager students were invited to talk about how the Voyager program and Edison's academic programs have prepared them to be successful in pursuing a college education and career. The class of 2014 earned over 1.8 million dollars in scholarships.
