About Me My name is Ms. Schmidt-Kost, and I am excited to be teaching at Edison High School. I taught at Anwatin Middle School prior to coming up to the big leagues.
I teach four sections of 9th Grade Geography and one section of African American Studies. I also lead the Gay-Straight Alliance through the Edison Beacon's Program, as well as the Knitting Club.
I was born and raised in Rochester, MN, achieved my Bachelor's in Secondary Social Studies Education at St. Cloud State University, and served for two years in the MPS City of Lakes AmeriCorps program. I also student taught in Munich, Germany at the Munich International School.
I love to travel, especially up to Duluth and the North Shore. I have two cats, and love dogs. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and BuzzFeed quizes. I am a proud Hufflepuff.
Copies of all student assignments currently in the Gradebook can be found on MyMPS for students to print out and turn in completed.
