September Students of the Month
Each month, Edison teachers and staff nominate students for the Student of the Month award. A student from each grade level receives this honor. This month's Students of the Month are below. With each student, a word of praise from a teacher is included.
Hamze Muhumed, 9th grade, “Hamze is ALWAYS willing to help his peers and teachers. He is extremely reflective and prepared. He's kindhearted and humorous and just an all around AWESOME person!”
Brian Baltazar Pinos, 10th, “I asked the student to help others that were struggling staying on task. He willing accepted the gesture and has been helping his whole table complete projects.”
Soria Sarwary, 11th, “She is welcoming to new staff and new students. She is a leader in the classroom. She provides a lightness and carefree attitude that keeps class fun and interesting.“
Karen Lopez, 12th, “This is my second year teaching Karen. She always works hard, participates positively in class, balances school with her job, and totally kicked but on last year's Spanish Debate Team! She even won Edison's first-ever Spanish Debate trophy with her partner Diego Medina. Very impressive for her first year ever in debate!”
