The Thomas Edison Class of 2016 was also awarded $205,000 in school-based, community, state, and national scholarships.
Various college and universities also offered scholarships to the Class of 2016. Students were awarded over 2 million dollars of which students accepted $987,000 to attend universities and colleges including Hamline, Bethel, University of MN, Augsburg, St. Kate’s, Southwest MN State, Mount Holyoke, St. Thomas, University of Mary, Concordia College, Puget Sound College.
Alumnus, Ramon Angels '2014, gave words of wisdom to his former classmates during the 2016 Senior Award Ceremony held on May 25, 2016. Ramon talked about the importance of taking education seriously. He currently serves as one of Edison Community and Sports Foundation's board members. Ramon attends Saint John's University and is majoring in Global Business Leadership.
