This past Tuesday the Edison Football Tommies hosted and won their “Quarterfinal Playoff Game”. Senior Kyle Seymour got things started with a touchdown reception from Junior Jackson Rusnacko. Seymour added two more TD receptions from Junior Anthony Houston (who also received a TD pass from Rusnacko) in the 2^nd quarter.  The quick scores gave the Tommies a 26-6 lead at halftime.  Defensively the Tommies were led by Sophomore Carlos Scott who recovered a fumble and ran 80 yards for a defensive touchdown early in the 3^rd quarter.  Carlos also recorded his first interception of the season.  Seniors Trey Gates, Tyshion Yeager, and Ali Ibrahim led the way on Special Teams.  Trey blocked an extra point attempt, while Tyshion and Ali each recovered a fumble on a punt and onside kick.  This TEAM victory extends our season to the “Semifinal Round”.  The game will be at St. Croix Lutheran October 28^th at 7PM.  The team is humbled by the support and encouragement of their community!
