Course Overview

US History is a yearlong 10th grade Social Studies course that uses an integrated approach to understand the history of the United States and its place in the world.  This course draws heavily from the classic disciplines of geography, government, and history.  However, connections will be drawn from a variety of the Social Studies subfields such as economics, sociology, political science, anthropology, and psychology.  The combination of these fields will permit us to develop a deep understanding of the history of the United States.

There are six broad units that will be covered throughout the entire school year (1-3 during Semester One, 4-6 duing Semester Two).  Please refer to each units subsection for unit powerpoints, assignments, notes, etc.
