The program honored 5 businesses for their roles in business and in giving back to the community. Frank Vascellaro, WCCO-TV news co-anchor was Master of Ceremonies.
The Todd Klingel Scholarship was announced in honor of Todd Klingel, President and CEO of the MRCC who is retiring. Todd has been a strong supporter of the Voyager: Direction for Learning and Careers program since he became President/CEO of the MRCC in 2004.
Starting this May and every year to follow a $500 scholarship will be given to one male and to one female student that exemplify the professionalism and educational goals of the Voyager program. Candidates will be selected by Mike Iacarella, Edison Business Teacher and Shirley Poelstra, Voyager Manager.
