Parent Portal and Grades

The Parent Portal is a tool for you to stay informed and engaged in your child's education. Parents/guardians will have access to:
* View your child's grades, transcript and MCA results
* See your child's schedule
* Monitor your child's attendance
* Communicate with your child's teachers
* Stay current on homework and assignments
* View contact information

Keep in mind that grades early in the quarter can tend to skew higher or lower than what is typical because there are fewer grades in gradebook. Keep checking- especially at mid-quarter and near the end of the quarter.

When you look at your student's grade, please be advised that gradebook doesn't round grades to minuses or pluses until the end of the quarter (for example, a grade that is actually a C- will present as a C). Use the grade scale from your student's syllabus to check the percentage in portal against the letter grade.

Sign up for Parent Portal: https://sisportal.mpls.k12.mn.us/

Parents/guardians must have a current email on file with the school to create an account. For assistance, contact Family Liaison, Christie Roiz-Guevara at 612-668-1307 Christie.roiz-guevara@mpls.k12.mn.us

The Edison Activity Council (EAC) invites you to the first meeting of the year on Thursday, September 13, 6:00-7:30 p.m. in room 104. The EAC supports and enhances extra-curricular activities at Edison and you can learn more about the group here.

This meeting is all about student involvement at Edison. School staff and students from Athletics, Theater, Beacons and Clubs will join us, including Principal Warne, Max Athorn, Brett McNeil and Asfia Rizwy. We will hear about these activities and discuss how the EAC can best support them. We are also seeking volunteers for our board and committees - consider helping out the group!

Our 3 B’s Days are a time when students and staff will take a break from regular classes to come together as grade level communities around Social Emotional Learning, school spirit, college and career readiness and more!

Parents/guardians: Students will not be following their regular class schedule. If your student has to leave early due to a medical/dental appointment, please make prior arrangements by sending a written note or contacting our attendance line before September 14th.

3 B's Days: September 14th, November 16, February 22 (date change) & April 12.
